Essex Police release a man accused of assaulting Katie Price pending further investigation.

A man who is alleged to have assaulted Katie Price in August has been released under investigation, Essex Police have confirmed.

The 43-year-old former glamour model was hospitalised with supposed facial injuries following the incident, which at the time she described as an unprovoked attack in her home in the early hours of the morning.

Police arrested a man in his 30s, who cannot be named for legal reasons, and subsequently released him on bail, and now he has been released pending further investigations.

The news means that the man in question has been released without charge and is free from bail conditions, but the force will continue their inquiry into what happened.

A month after the incident, Price crashed her car while under the influence and then checked into celebrity rehab clinic The Priory to deal with what her family described as mental health issues.
