David Ginola has been voted off I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in a shock elimination on the eve of the final.

The footballing legend had been a favourite to win the entire series but he fell at the final hurdle, meaning that either Coronation Street legend Simon Gregson, singer Frankie Bridge or ex-Emmerdale star Danny Miller will be crowned 2021 champion on Sunday night.

Talking about his three weeks in the castle, Ginola told hosts Ant and Dec: "It surprised me in a good way and a bad way because obviously it was really really hard. The conditions we were living in were very complicated.

"The food, the sleep, the lack of everything actually. But I kept some positive things in my mind, thinking: 'I'm going to get out of the castle full of love for the people I love very much.'

"I can't wait to get close to them because it's a hell of a journey."

The final of I'm A Celebrity airs on ITV from 9pm on Sunday night.
