New Zealand will stand in England's way of a place in the final of the ongoing ICC World Twenty20 event in India.

England will take on New Zealand for a place in the final of the ICC World Twenty20.

Eoin Morgan's side secured their place in the semi-finals of the tournament in India thanks to yesterday's 10-run victory over Sri Lanka.

However, their next opposition would not be confirmed until the West Indies had faced Afghanistan this afternoon.

The Afghans won by six runs, but the Windies passed the 101-run mark which means that they top the group on net run rate, with England second.

As a result, the English have been paired with Group 2 winners New Zealand. The two nations will meet in Delhi on Wednesday afternoon.

As for the Windies, they will take on either India or Australia, who meet later today.
