Kasabian claim that they want to provide the soundtrack for a film about Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy.

Kasabian have admitted that they want to create the soundtrack for a film about Leicester City star Jamie Vardy.

A biopic about the striker's rise from non-league footballer to potential Premier League champion is believed to be in the works.

Rock stars Serge Pizzorno and Tom Meighan, who are Leicester supporters, are hopeful that their band can provide the music to the film.

"We played a huge gig in the centre of town in Victoria Park a couple of years ago and Jamie Vardy came and stayed in touch," Pizzorno told the Daily Star.

"Jamie loves his music so I'd love to sit down and have a meeting about the film of course."

Leicester can be crowned champions if they defeat Manchester United in Sunday's game at Old Trafford.
