Chelsea are reportedly considering the option of groundsharing with West Ham United at the London Stadium while Stamford Bridge is being redeveloped.

Chelsea have reportedly been considering the option of groundsharing with West Ham United while Stamford Bridge is out of bounds.

The Blues are expected to leave West London at the end of the 2019-20 season for up to four years while their stadium is rebuilt, and they had been hoping to use Wembley Stadium.

However, Chelsea's plans have been hit by Shahid Khan's £1bn offer to buy the national stadium and the demands of his potential incoming NFL franchise, the Jacksonville Jaguars.

According to The Sun, the London Stadium's owners have given their blessing to the idea of Chelsea moving into the former Olympic venue for a number of years.

The report quotes a statement from E20 Stadium LLP which reads: "We can confirm that another football club could play at the stadium."

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are believed to have rejected the prospect of hosting Chelsea, while rugby union's Twickenham Stadium is also thought to have been ruled out.
