Chelsea and Adidas announce that they have reached an agreement to end their kit deal six years early at the end of next season.

Premier League side Chelsea have announced that next season will be their last with current kit supplier Adidas.

The two parties have reached an agreement to end their deal six years early in the summer of 2017.

German sportswear giant Adidas, who have been the Blues' kit manufacturer since 2006, said in a statement that they would receive a payment from Chelsea in 2017 for the early termination of the contract.

"We would like to thank adidas for their fantastic support and cooperation over the past 10 years," read a Chelsea statement.

The West London side recently unveiled what turns out will be their last new kit with Adidas.
