Liverpool will reportedly complete the signing of Udinese midfielder Piotr Zielinski within the next week.

Liverpool will complete a deal to sign Poland international Piotr Zielinski within the next week, according to reports.

The Reds are understood to have been interested in the midfielder for some time and could wrap up his signature by Wednesday, according to Canal + Sport.

Zielinski is currently contracted to Serie A side Udinese, but has spent the last two seasons on loan at Empoli, making 62 appearances in the Italian top flight.

The 21-year-old has reportedly caught the eye of Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, who is expected to bring in a number of new players this summer.

With the future of Joe Allen still in doubt, Zielinski could be brought in as a replacement for the Wales international ahead of Klopp's first full season in charge next term.

Zielinski made his full international debut when he was just 18 and has since gone on to make 13 appearances for Poland, scoring three goals.
