Tyrrell Hatton's move from the PGA Tour to LIV Golf is confirmed with the Englishman lining up for Jon Rahm's Legion XIII team.

Tyrrell Hatton has become the latest player to end his association with the PGA Tour to sign with LIV Golf.

Earlier this week, Jon Rahm - the current Masters champion - rocked the sport by becoming the highest-profile name to make the lucrative, yet controversial, switch.

As part of his agreement, Rahm has been given the freedom to create a new team, which will be called Legion XIII, and Hatton has been acquired to join forces with the Spaniard.

The pair are no strangers to each other having formed a strong partnership in Ryder Cup matches, their future participation in that event remaining in doubt.

Nevertheless, it has not prevented Hatton from signing a deal worth an alleged £50m in order to become the next name to move to a rival of the PGA Tour.

Hatton signs with LIV Golf at a time when he sits in 16th position in the World Golf Rankings, his place at the four majors in 2024 already assured.

Joining Rahm and Hatton are Kieran Vincent and Caleb Surratt, the former coming through a LIV Golf Promotions event in December and the latter a member of the USA Walker Cup winning side from 2023.

The quartet will make their debuts when the Mayakoba Classic gets underway in Mexico on Friday, with Legion XIII going up against 12 other teams with LIV Golf expanding from 48 players to 52.
