Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Nuno Espirito Santo says that he is unable to take any positives from witnessing his side lose 2-0 at Sheffield United.

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has acknowledged that he is disappointed with his side's 2-0 defeat to Sheffield United on Wednesday night.

The visitors were reduced to 10 men during the early stages after Conor Coady was dismissed for a professional foul, before two goals from Wolves old boy Leon Clarke condemned the West Midlands outfit to just their second league setback of the campaign.

Nuno admitted that his players had shown character at Bramall Lane, but the Portuguese claimed that he was unable to take any positives from losing to their rivals.

The 43-year-old is quoted by the Express & Star as saying: "I'm disappointed, it's a bad result. The game started well but the red card, even though we stayed in the game and didn't allow them too many things apart from possession, is a bad result.

"There's nothing very positive from this game. We have to get up ourselves and show on Saturday that we really want to fight for each moment and each ball.

On the red card, Nuno added: "No complaints. The law is clear, if you're last man holding it means you don't want to try and play the ball, it's a red card."

Wolves face the short trip to the Pirelli Stadium to face Burton Albion on Saturday afternoon.
