Forward Marko Arnautovic says that there should be no excuses for West Ham United's 'lack of organisation' during the closing stages against Arsenal.

Forward Marko Arnautovic has acknowledged that West Ham United let the game 'get away from them' during the closing stages against Arsenal.

West Ham were level with the Gunners heading into the final 10 minutes, but three late goals from the Gunners condemned the East London outfit to a 4-1 defeat at the Emirates Stadium.

Manager David Moyes claimed that his side had too many attacking players on the pitch, but Arnautovic has suggested that the team should have been able to remain organised.

The 29-year-old is quoted by the London Evening Standard as saying: "Until 80 minutes, we played some very good stuff and had good chances. In the last 10 minutes, we just went over and sometimes this happens against the top teams.

"Against them, we know they go to the end but the second goal was an individual mistake and after that, we needed to stay organised. We couldn't do that and we conceded two more and it got away from us."

West Ham remain six points above the relegation zone in the Premier League table.
