Jordan Ayew happy with Swansea City's draw with Crystal Palace

Swansea City forward Jordan Ayew says that he is happy with the club's 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace, despite the result keeping the Welsh outfit at the bottom of the table.

Swansea City forward Jordan Ayew has said that the Welsh outfit will "keep fighting" after his goal secured a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace.

The Welsh outfit appeared to be on the way to another defeat, but Ayew's late strike earned a share of the spoils for Leon Britton's side.

Swansea remain bottom of the Premier League table, but Ayew is happy to have contributed to his team earning a point against one of the club's rivals in the top flight.

The 26-year-old is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "The most important thing was not to lose, we wanted to win but a point is okay and we will keep on fighting. I was told to make something happen and luckily today I was successful.

"You always want to give your best, today it has happened for me but it's been a difficult week - our manager got sacked and we really liked him and I wish all the best to Paul Clement. The board have to see what's best for us, our job is to just win games."

Swansea are next in action when they face Liverpool at Anfield on Boxing Day.
