Tottenham Hotspur could reportedly attempt to cancel the contract of defender Danny Rose.

Tottenham Hotspur could attempt to cancel the contract of Danny Rose before the end of the January transfer window, according to transfer expert Alex Crook.

The 30-year-old has not made a single appearance for Spurs during the 2020-21 campaign but has a deal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium until the end of June.

Rose appears to have played his last game for Jose Mourinho's side, and it has been suggested that the London club could attempt to cancel the Englishman's contract, with West Bromwich Albion interested in signing him.

"I was told there was a big chance he could follow Jack Wilshere in the sense that Tottenham could cancel his contract in this window," Crook told talkSPORT.

"We know he's not part of Jose Mourinho's plans. West Brom and Sam Allardyce would be very keen to take him to the Hawthorns – whether he would see that as the right club to revive his career, I don't know."

Rose has made 214 appearances for Spurs in all competitions but finished last season on loan at Newcastle United, having been deemed surplus to requirements by Mourinho.
