Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has said that it is "just a question of time" before Christian Eriksen signs a new contract at White Hart Lane.

Eriksen, 24, joined Spurs from Ajax in August 2013 and netted eight goals in 47 appearances during the 2015-16 campaign.

It has been reported that the capital outfit want to extend the Dane's current deal, which expires in 2018, and Pochettino is confident that an agreement will soon be reached between all parties.

"We are happy with him and he's very happy here. We'll see what happens in the next few weeks. He has two more years left on his contract and he's happy here. It's just a question of time to agree a new contract," Pochettino told reporters.

Spurs return to Premier League action at home to London rivals Crystal Palace this weekend.
