Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino confirms that Michel Vorm will replace Hugo Lloris in goal in tomorrow's match against Liverpool.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that Michel Vorm will replace Hugo Lloris in goal for tomorrow's EFL Cup clash against Liverpool at Anfield.

Vorm has made just four appearances this season, but Pochettino is taking the opportunity to rest Lloris, who has been named in the 30-man shortlist for the 2016 Ballon d'Or.

"It's true that tomorrow we'll play Michel Vorm," talkSPORT quotes Pochettino as saying. "Hugo is not a machine, he's one of the best but he's not a machine. Tomorrow is a very good opportunity for Michel, he deserves to play.

"Players like Lloris, they are not machines. And it is very tough to go from international matches, to the Premier League, to the Champions League and back to the Premier League, without any breaks.

"So we will rotate and we will rotate in the next few games too, because it's important that the whole squad feel they are important, have the chance to play and show their quality."

Spurs are unbeaten in their last eight games in all competitions.
