Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Scotland could line up in Monday's Euro 2020 clash with Czech Republic.

Scotland boss Steve Clarke arguably has two major decisions to make when it comes to picking his starting side for Monday's Euro 2020 opener with the Czech Republic at Hampden Park.

There will be at least five Premier League players in the home team's XI, with Arsenal's Kieran Tierney, Manchester United's Scott McTominay, Aston Villa's John McGinn, Liverpool's Andrew Robertson and Southampton's Che Adams all certainties to start.

Chelsea's Billy Gilmour is also pushing for a spot in the middle of the park, but Callum McGregor is expected to be given the nod alongside McGinn and McTominay in the engine room.

The right-sided centre-back spot is a position open for debate, but Jack Hendry could just get the nod to start alongside Grant Hanley and Tierney.

Stephen O'Donnell is being tipped to feature as the right-sided wing-back, with the captain Robertson set to play on the opposite side of the field.

Adams has now scored twice in four caps for Scotland and will feature in attack, and the 24-year-old should be joined by Lyndon Dykes, as Clarke prepares to go after the Czech Republic in their Group D opener.

There is certainly now strength in depth in the squad, with Ryan Fraser, James Forrest, Stuart Armstrong and Kevin Nisbet also options in the forward positions, but there are not expected to be any major surprises in terms of team selection for the clash in Glasgow.

Scotland possible starting lineup: Marshall; Hendry, Hanley, Tierney; O'Donnell, McTominay, McGregor, McGinn, Robertson; Dykes, Adams
