Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Czech Republic could line up in their Euro 2020 opener with Scotland.

There will be plenty of familiar faces in the Czech Republic starting XI on Monday afternoon when Jaroslav Silhavy's side open their Euro 2020 campaign against Scotland in Glasgow.

Sevilla's Tomas Vaclik will feature between the sticks, while West Ham United duo Vladimir Coufal and Tomas Soucek, who both enjoyed excellent seasons in the Premier League, are set to start.

Head coach Silhavy is likely to select a 4-2-3-1 formation on Monday, with Spartak Moscow's Alex Kral expected to be given the nod alongside Soucek in the middle of the park.

Vladimir Darida, who plays his club football for Hertha Berlin, is the captain and most experienced player in the squad with 72 caps, and the 30-year-old should feature in an advanced role against Scotland.

Lukas Masopust and Jakub Jankto should also be handed attacking spots at Hampden Park, while Bayer Leverkusen's Patrik Schick is likely to be given the nod at centre-forward.

Schick has found the back of the net on 11 occasions at international level and is likely to hold off competition from Burnley's Matej Vydra to lead the line.

Adam Hlozek is the youngest player in the squad at the age of 18, and the Sparta Prague forward will be hoping to gain his first taste of tournament football in his side's Group D opener.

Czech Republic possible starting lineup: Vaclik; Coufal, Celustka, Kalas, Boril; Soucek, Kral; Masopust, Darida, Jankto; Schick
