Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Real Madrid on Tuesday, July 14.

The buildup to the summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Real Madrid eye possible reinforcements.

Florentino Perez oversaw a significant overhaul of his squad during the summer before focusing more on youth in January. As is always the case with Madrid, though, some of the biggest names in football continue to be linked.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news of possible comings and goings at the Bernabeu.

Tuesday morning's Real Madrid transfer talk news roundup:

Manchester United 'among top options for James Rodriguez'

Manchester United are reportedly regarded as one of the most realistic destinations for Real Madrid playmaker James Rodriguez.

With just a year remaining on his contract and having been left out of Zinedine Zidane's most recent squads, Rodriguez is expected to leave the Bernabeu in the summer.

While Everton have been credited with an interest, Sport claims that the Colombia international has little interest in a switch to Goodison Park.

However, United and Wolverhampton Wanderers seemingly remain in the race for the 29-year-old, who may cost in the region of £22m.

Although Atletico Madrid are keen on the player, the report suggests that Los Blancos are against the idea of selling to their neighbours.

Nevertheless, with club officials keen to raise funds, much could depend on which team makes the most attractive offer.

Brahim Diaz to join Real Betis on loan?

Real Madrid attacker Brahim Diaz could reportedly join Real Betis on loan for the 2020-21 campaign.

The Spaniard joined Los Blancos from Manchester City in January 2019 and made 11 appearances for the capital giants in the second half of the 2018-19 campaign.

Diaz has found it difficult to earn minutes for Zinedine Zidane's side this season, though, making just nine appearances in all competitions.

The 20-year-old could allegedly be allowed to leave the Bernabeu on loan next season, and according to Mundo Deportivo, Betis are in the running to secure his signature.

Betis will be managed by former Manchester City and West Ham United boss Manuel Pellegrini next term, and the 66-year-old will reportedly be backed in the market this summer.

Diaz appeared as a late substitute as Madrid took another step towards winning La Liga by beating Alaves 2-0 on Friday night.
