Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini hints that he could stay at the club by outlining plans to challenge for the Premier League title next season.

Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini has hinted that he will still be at the club next season after outlining plans to bring the title back to Old Trafford.

Fellaini is out of contract at the end of this season and had been expected to leave the club due to a lack of first-team football.

However, manager Jose Mourinho hinted after Sunday's 2-1 victory over Arsenal, in which Fellaini scored a stoppage-time winner, that the Belgian is close to agreeing an extension to his stay at Old Trafford, and Fellaini himself is seemingly already looking forward to another season as a United player.

"I think it is good for the team. We have the three points, we are sure to participate in the Champions League," Fellaini told reporters.

"We have to continue, we have three games to prepare for the final. Of course, a club like Man United have to be in the Champions League. But we have to improve.

"I think next season is a big season for us. It will be the third year of the manager so we have to try to win the league."

Fellaini joined United in 2013 and has gone on to make 154 appearances for the club.
