Leeds United are reportedly closing in on the season-long loan signing of Manchester United defender Cameron Borthwick-Jackson.

Manchester United have reportedly agreed to allow Cameron Borthwick-Jackson to sign a loan deal with Leeds United.

Last season, Wolverhampton Wanderers signed Borthwick-Jackson on a temporary basis, but he made just seven appearances in all competitions for the West Midlands outfit.

There had been a suggestion that the left-back could move to Ajax for the upcoming campaign, but according to ESPN, he will spend time at Elland Road with Leeds.

New head coach Thomas Christiansen has already made 11 new signings since arriving at the Yorkshire club, but Borthwick-Jackson would represent just his second English addition.

The England Under-20 international has made 14 first-team appearances for Manchester United, but he is yet to feature under current boss Jose Mourinho.
