Manchester United legend Paul Scholes claims that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will find life tough in the Premier League next season.

Paul Scholes has claimed that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will have to "do more for himself" in order to become a success at Manchester United.

Ibrahimovic, 34, joined Man United on a free transfer this summer off the back of a 50-goal season with French champions Paris Saint-Germain.

Former Red Devil Scholes has claimed that "it was easy" for the Swede to score goals in France and hinted that he might find it tougher to make his mark in English football.

"We don't know about Zlatan. He is 34 and probably going to play only for a year. Okay, he is a fit lad. I think with Ibrahimovic it is, he was playing in a team of PSG and they created a lot of chances. It was easy for him to score goals in that league," Scholes told reporters.

"This Manchester United team isn't as good as the PSG team. It might be in time to come. He is going to have to do more for himself in the Manchester United team. More than he did at PSG."

Ibrahimovic has not yet linked up with his new Man United teammates after representing Sweden at Euro 2016, which will go down as his final international tournament.
