Norwich City sporting director Stuart Webber could join Manchester United in a similar position this summer, according to a report.

Manchester United are reportedly looking to nab Norwich City sporting director Stuart Webber to form part of their backroom team.

The Red Devils are in the process of restructuring behind the scenes and are aiming to have a new technical director in place as soon as possible.

Webber has overseen a radical change in strategy at Carrow Road, especially at academy level, and The Sun claims that he has a number of admirers at United.

Norwich earned promotion to the Premier League within two years of Webber's appointment, having recruited him from Huddersfield Town following his similar success in West Yorkshire.

United want their new technical director to work closely with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward with an emphasis on identifying the best young talent around.

Former United players Rio Ferdinand and Darren Fletcher have also been linked with the newly-created position.
