Manchester United co-owner Avram Glazer reportedly refuses to apologise for his role in the club's European Super League fiasco.

Avram Glazer has reportedly refused to apologise to Manchester United fans over his role in the club's European Super League fiasco.

The Red Devils - along with Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur - all signed up for the breakaway continental competition on Sunday before dropping out one by one 48 hours later.

Joel Glazer - part of the Glazer family which owns Man United - penned an apology letter to the club's supporters over their involvement in the project, but his brother Avram - the Red Devils' executive co-chairman - has supposedly refused to say sorry.

According to The Mirror, Avram Glazer refused to comment on the debacle when approached by a reporter outside of his Florida home - contradicting Joel's open letter to supporters.

United fans have asked the Glazer family to loosen their grip on the club in the wake of the Super League's collapse, and executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is confirmed to be stepping down at the end of the season.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also affirmed that the proposed breakaway competition was "a bad idea".
