Juventus defender Dani Alves acknowledges his admiration for Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, amid speculation that he may move to the Etihad Stadium.

Juventus defender Dani Alves has hinted that he would be open to a reunion with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.

In recent days, the Brazilian full-back has been heavily linked with a summer switch to the Etihad Stadium, and Juventus have said that they are willing to scrap the final 12 months of his contract.

Alves played under Guardiola during a successful period for both at Barcelona, and while he has refused to directly comment on a possible transfer, he has acknowledged his "admiration" for his former coach.

The 34-year-old told Conversa com Bial: "Leaving Juve on a free transfer. I don't know what's happening. Have I asked to leave? I've left the work to my agents, and they've said they'd talk to me once they found a resolution.

"If I go, it'll be without any conflicts, without any problems, as opposed to what's being said. City my next team? Well, everyone knows my admiration for Pep Guardiola."

Alves scored six goals in 33 appearances during his first campaign in Turin.
