Manchester City attacker David Silva has reportedly been given permission to leave the Spain camp ahead of Tuesday's international friendly with Argentina.

Silva was a part of the Spain team that continued their preparations for the 2018 World Cup with a 1-1 draw against world champions Germany in Dusseldorf on Friday night.

The attacker was in line to face Argentina on March 27, but according to Marca, La Roja boss Julen Lopetegui has allowed the 32-year-old to leave the squad due to 'personal reasons'.

Silva will therefore not take part in Spain's clash with Argentina, while Barcelona centre-back Gerard Pique is also seen as a doubt after missing Saturday morning's training session with a knock.

Spain will take on Portugal, Iran and Morocco in the group stages of this summer's World Cup.
