Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola reveals that Gabriel Jesus and Cole Palmer are both ruled out of Saturday's FA Cup fourth-round tie against Fulham.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has revealed that Gabriel Jesus and Cole Palmer are both ruled out of Saturday's FA Cup fourth-round tie against Fulham.

Jesus picked up a minor injury during his time with Brazil on international duty, while Palmer – who starred in last month's third-round win against Swindon Town with a goal and an assist – has not trained for the last few weeks and remains sidelined with unspecified 'problems'.

Speaking to the press ahead of this weekend's contest at the Etihad Stadium, Guardiola said: Yeah [everyone is available] except Gabriel comes with niggles from international break. The rest before the international break are [available].

"Cole Palmer is not ready, after the FA Cup had problems and still is not available or training since then. We'll see what happens in the next weeks."

Guardiola has also confirmed that Riyad Mahrez will be in contention to feature after the winger was granted a week of holiday following Algeria's early exit from the Africa Cup of Nations.

"[Mahrez is] perfect. Everyone is sharp, the week off was good. Everyone is good. He is so strong, he put behind the good and bad things so quick and handles the pressure. Not a problem," the Spaniard added.

In addition, left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko returned to training this week and he will be available to start his first game since Boxing Day, after recovering from a knock.
