Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino hopes that Kylian Mbappe will be fit for their Champions League semi-final first leg with Manchester City on Wednesday.

Paris Saint-Germain manager Mauricio Pochettino expects to have Kylian Mbappe available for the first leg of his side's Champions League semi-final with Manchester City on Wednesday.

The 22-year-old notched up a brace in league action against Metz before limping off on the 87-minute mark, sparking fears that he may not be ready for the visit of Pep Guardiola's men.

However, Pochettino played down fears of a serious injury for the striker immediately after the game, and the PSG boss has reaffirmed that he is "not worried" about his condition.

Speaking to Canal +, Pochettino said: "We think he's okay and that he'll be ready for Wednesday. We reviewed the action, we see the blow. We are not worried about him.

"We hope it's not too serious. Kylian was calm when he was replaced but even a simple knock is always painful."

Mbappe took his league tally to 25 goals for the season against Metz before having to come off, and he has found the back of the net eight times in nine Champions League games so far this term.

PSG will definitely be without Juan Bernat on Wednesday night, but the trio of Marquinhos, Abdou Diallo and Rafinha could all return in time to bolster Pochettino's options.
