Liverpool reportedly reject a second bid worth £89m from Barcelona for Philippe Coutinho.

Liverpool have reportedly rebuffed Barcelona's £89m offer for Philippe Coutinho.

The Brazilian has been targeted by the Spanish giants this summer, despite the 25-year-old signing a new long-term contract in January.

Rumours circulated recently that the Reds had turned down a £72m bid for their talisman, and now, according to Sport, the Catalan giants have been knocked back again after upping the figure.

The amount reportedly tabled would have matched the world-record sum that Manchester United paid to re-sign Paul Pogba from Juventus last summer.

Reds manager Jurgen Klopp reiterated this week that Coutinho is not for sale, but it is believed that the player is desperate for a move to Camp Nou.
