Neymar has reportedly been encouraging Brazil teammate Philippe Coutinho to reject interest from Barcelona in order to join him at Paris Saint-Germain for the 2017-18 campaign.

Neymar, 25, is still at Barcelona, but it is widely thought that the attacker will join PSG in a world-record deal this summer.

Coutinho, meanwhile, has been linked with a move to Camp Nou as a replacement for Neymar, although Liverpool are have reportedly placed a £134m asking price on the 25-year-old's head in order to ward off interest from PSG.

According to Sport, Neymar has been messaging his international teammate on WhatsApp, encouraging Coutinho to reject any interest from Barcelona in order to join him in the French capital.

Coutinho was named Liverpool captain for Saturday's pre-season friendly against Hertha Berlin.
