Derby County beat Hull City 2-0 at the KC Stadium to overtake their opponents at the top of the Championship table.
Both goals came in the first half via Jacob Butterfield, who struck two fine strikes beyond the reach of Alan McGregor to secure the win.
Hull enjoyed the majority of possession in the second half, without truly troubling opposition keeper Scott Carson on a consistent enough basis.
