Everton could make a summer move for £9m-rated West Ham United centre-back Winston Reid as cover for the injured Ramiro Funes Mori, according to a report.

Everton are reportedly considering a £9m bid for West Ham United defender Winston Reid as cover for the injured Ramiro Funes Mori.

Funes Mori has been out of action since March following a season-ending shin injury while on international duty with Argentina and is yet to play a part in the club's pre-season preparations.

According to the Daily Mail, Toffees boss Ronald Koeman could now turn his eye towards West Ham's Reid, who is expected to return from an injury of his own in the next two weeks.

It is thought that United might be willing to part with their experienced centre-back, despite Reid having not long since extended his current contract at the club until 2021.

Everton have already made several high-profile moves this window, having brought in club legend Wayne Rooney, Davy Klaassen, Michael Keane and Jordan Pickford.
