How Chelsea could line up against Wolverhampton Wanderers

Sports Mole looks at how Chelsea could line up for Sunday's Premier League clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers as they bid to move into the top four.

Chelsea could climb into the top four of the Premier League table with victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

The Blues currently sit two points behind fourth-placed Manchester United with a game in hand over both United and fifth-placed Arsenal, who face each other later in the day on Sunday.

It could be a profitable weekend for Maurizio Sarri's side as they look to secure a return to Champions League action next season, then, but they take on a team leading the race to be the 'best of the rest' in seventh.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Sarri could set his team out for the match.

Sarri boasts a clean bill of health at the moment, and that should make his starting XI relatively predictable with plenty of familiar faces set to return after the midweek Europa League win over Dynamo Kiev.

The likes of Eden Hazard, Gonzalo Higuain, N'Golo Kante, Cesar Azpilicueta and Antonio Rudiger will be among them, with Sarri able to rest many of his star names at Stamford Bridge.

The Italian must decide who to start as his third man in midfield, and Ross Barkley's withdrawal just past the hour mark on Thursday night suggests that he has the edge over Mateo Kovacic, who played the full 90 minutes.

There is also a decision to be made regarding the front three, with Pedro, Willian and Callum Hudson-Odoi all getting on the scoresheet against Dynamo.

Emerson Palmieri has seemingly usurped Marcos Alonso as Sarri's preferred choice at left-back in the Premier League too, so the Italian could return to the starting XI this weekend.
