Saturday's Premier League predictions including Everton vs. Liverpool

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Premier League fixtures, including the Merseyside derby between Everton and Liverpool.

Everton welcome neighbours Liverpool to Goodison Park on Saturday for the first Merseyside derby of the 2022-23 season.

The Toffees go into the match still winless from five Premier League games this term, while Liverpool rescued a last-gasp win over Newcastle United on Wednesday night to make it back-to-back victories.

We say: Everton 1-1 Liverpool

Liverpool will go into this encounter as favourites, but they have been far from convincing so far this season and Everton will fancy their chances of causing an upset with a raucous home crowd behind them.

The result could hinge on which team scores first, with Liverpool's recent habit of conceding the opening goal certain to hurt them unless it stops soon.

Derby draws have been commonplace at Goodison over the years, and we expect another this weekend, which incidentally would make it the joint-most drawn fixture in Premier League history.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Brentford vs. Leeds (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Leeds United have a chance to capture their first road match of the Premier League season when they return to Brentford Community Stadium to face the Bees on Saturday.

Two points currently separate these sides, who met on the final day of the 2021-22 campaign, with the Peacocks scoring in injury time to win 2-1, enabling them to remain in the top flight.

We say: Brentford 1-1 Leeds United

Each side have earned a convincing victory against a Big Six club this season, with the Bees blanking Man United 4-0, while the Peacocks dropped Chelsea 3-0.

More often than not, though, neither team have been able to put away matches when given the opportunity, so we expect a low-scoring affair between two clubs who have been resilient through the early portion of the season.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Chelsea vs. West Ham (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Chelsea play host to West Ham United in Saturday's London derby with the club sitting in 10th position in the Premier League standings.

While the Hammers make the short trip to Stamford Bridge in 14th spot, they will move level on points with their city rivals with a win.

We say: Chelsea 2-2 West Ham United

With both teams having endured a mixed start to the campaign, there is a feeling that something has to give on Saturday with each side requiring three points. Although we feel that West Ham will be able to breach the Chelsea backline, the West Londoners may improve at the other end to claim a share of the spoils.

Newcastle vs. Crystal Palace (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Seeking to quickly recover from their Anfield heartache, Newcastle United return to St James' Park for Saturday's Premier League showdown with Crystal Palace.

The Magpies agonisingly went down 2-1 to Jurgen Klopp's side on Wednesday evening, while the visitors were pegged back in a 1-1 draw with Brentford.

We say: Newcastle United 2-1 Crystal Palace

Scoring and conceding away from home has been the theme for Crystal Palace over the past few months, and a similar pattern should be followed here, with Newcastle still vulnerable at the back at times.

Both teams will be fired up to put their midweek disappointments behind them, but the bouncing St James' Park atmosphere, potential return of Guimaraes and Isak's explosive start will all work in Newcastle's favour as Howe's side seek to grind out a narrow victory.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Nott'm Forest vs. Bournemouth (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Two newly-promoted sides seeking to kickstart faltering Premier League campaigns meet at the City Ground on Saturday afternoon, as Nottingham Forest play host to Bournemouth.

The Tricky Trees were hit for six against champions Manchester City in midweek, while the managerless Cherries managed to hold Wolverhampton Wanderers to a goalless draw.

We say: Nottingham Forest 1-0 Bournemouth

Bournemouth's continued struggles on the attacking front could cost them dear against a side whom they have enjoyed relative success over in recent memory, even if Cooper's side were torn apart by the reigning champions in midweek.

With a bench stacked full of notable options for change - especially in the final third - Cooper's men can hope to glean revenge over the Cherries for May's 1-0 defeat with victory of their own by a similarly slender scoreline.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Spurs vs. Fulham (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Tottenham Hotspur will seek an immediate return to winning ways in the Premier League when Fulham make the journey across the capital for Saturday's London derby.

Antonio Conte's side were held to a 1-1 draw by West Ham United in midweek, while the Cottagers got the better of Brighton & Hove Albion 2-1.

We say: Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 Fulham

With the ever-present nuisance that is Mitrovic proving that he is capable of turning up the heat in the Premier League, Fulham should feel confident about their chances of breaching a Tottenham defence that were under the cosh for large periods against West Ham.

However, Tottenham have demonstrated a consistent ability to grind out results in front of their own fans, and the added incentive of piling the pressure on Arsenal - coupled with Fulham's struggles on rival turf - should help Conte's side edge a close contest before attention turns to the Champions League.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Wolves vs. Southampton (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Wolverhampton Wanderers play host to Southampton on Saturday afternoon still searching for their first Premier League victory of the season.

At a time when the home side are in the relegation zone, the Saints sit in mid-table courtesy of recent wins over Leicester City and Chelsea.

We say: Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-1 Southampton

With Wolves looking devoid of confidence in the final third, we cannot back them to take advantage of playing at Molineux at the weekend. Nevertheless, there is also a feeling that their luck must change at some point, leading us to predict a low-scoring share of the spoils against opponents who are growing in confidence.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Aston Villa vs. Man City (Saturday, 5.30pm)

Manchester City will aim to return to the top of the Premier League table - for 24 hours at least - when they make the trip to take on Aston Villa on Saturday evening.

The champions put six past Nottingham Forest without reply in midweek, while Steven Gerrard's side went down 2-1 to early pacesetters Arsenal.

We say: Aston Villa 0-3 Manchester City

Villa arguably should not have been in with a chance of stealing a point off of Arsenal in midweek, but credit where credit is due to some of their last-ditch defending efforts, and they did come out fighting in the second period.

However, such small positives are unlikely to count for much against the rampant champions, who will seek to further increase the pressure on the under-fire Gerrard with a straightforward success on Saturday.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.
