Kenedy is sent home from Chelsea's pre-season tour of Asia following the insensitive comments he made about China on social media last week.

Chelsea have confirmed that Brazilian midfielder Kenedy has been sent home from the club's Far East tour following offensive posts made on social media.

The 21-year-old caused anger in China when posting negative comments on his personal Instagram account last week, forcing the Blues to make a public apology.

There are fears that Chelsea could also be banned from entering China for future pre-season visits as a result of the insensitive remarks, but the Premier League champions have taken steps to cool tensions by heavily disciplining the player.

Fluminense academy product Kenedy will play no further part in the tour, with Chelsea due to face Bayern Munich in Singapore on Tuesday morning and Inter Milan four days later.

Kenedy featured twice in the Premier League last season - once with Chelsea and once with loan club Watford.
