Burnley goalkeeper Joe Hart, who will be available on a free transfer in the summer, feels that he still has the ability to represent a big club.

Burnley goalkeeper Joe Hart has suggested that he is desperate to be recognised as first-choice stopper at a new club.

Having only featured in cup competitions this season, Hart will move on from Turf Moor later in 2020 when his contract at the Clarets comes to an end.

Acknowledging that he may struggle to gain first-team football in the Premier League, the former England international admits that he is open to all offers.

Speaking to The Guardian, the 33-year-old said: "I'm totally open. I just want to play at the highest level I can. In England, I don't feel I am going to be able to do that. Maybe if I hadn't achieved what I've done in this league I might not be so ready to step away.

"Don't get me wrong. I'd love to have another big chance in England, but it could be difficult. All I want to do is be a big part of something.

"I understand I'm not going to be part of Real Madrid. I don't think I've lost the ability, but I know how football works. I just want to be a big part of a club and give my all to them. That hope burns through me."

Since the start of 2017-18, Hart has made just 47 appearances in all competitions.
