Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Championship fixtures, including Bristol City vs. Swansea.

Full of confidence after a win in the South Wales derby, an in-form Swansea City travel over the border to face Bristol City in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.

Russell Martin's men have ascended the second-tier table rapidly over the past month and occupy a playoff position heading into this weekend, whereas the Robins have inconsistency and defensive frailties to blame for a current 13th-placed standing in the table.

We say: Bristol City 1-3 Swansea City

Bristol City are not shy in front of goal but it is a leaky defence at the other end that has hampered their start to this Championship campaign.

Swansea are high on confidence after six wins in the last seven and will be eyeing up a fragile Robins' defence when they visit Ashton Gate on Saturday.

West Brom vs. Sheff Utd (Saturday, 12.30pm)

West Bromwich Albion will begin life under the new management of Carlos Corberan on Saturday, when they welcome Sheffield United to the Hawthorns.

The new boss's appointment was confirmed on Tuesday with the Baggies sat 23rd in the Championship table, while their visitors have dropped to fifth spot having failed to win any of their last six league outings.

We say: West Bromwich Albion 1-1 Sheffield United

The change in management should act as somewhat of a boost for West Brom, and they meet Sheffield United at a good time, but we see the Blades having enough to at least return to South Yorkshire with a share of the spoils and predict a low-scoring draw.

Burnley vs. Reading (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Burnley play host to Reading on Saturday afternoon knowing that victory will ensure that they remain top of the Championship standings by the end of the weekend.

However, eighth-placed Reading trail the Clarets by just seven points with a game in hand, the visitors having a chance to move themselves back into contention after an inconsistent run.

We say: Burnley 2-0 Reading

Having ended their recent losing streak, Reading will travel to the North-West with the belief that they can cause a surprise. Nevertheless, we are backing Burnley to continue along their merry way, potentially with a goal in either half.

Cardiff vs. Rotherham (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Hoping to end a three-game losing run in the Championship and bounce back from a South Wales derby defeat, Cardiff City will play host to Rotherham United on Saturday.

A loss to their rivals on Sunday has left the Bluebirds 20th in England's second tier, while their visitors were denied all three points and a climb into the top 10 late on in their trip to Coventry City on Tuesday.

We say: Cardiff City 1-1 Rotherham United

Rotherham United have enjoyed the stronger season thus far and meet a Cardiff side experiencing a slump, but the hosts still boast plenty of quality and should see Saturday's game at home as a good chance to put points on the board.

We see a share of the spoils as the most likely outcome, with neither expected to dominate their opponents in South Wales.

Coventry vs. Blackpool (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Coventry City play host to Blackpool on Saturday afternoon with the opportunity to move ahead of their 18th-placed opponents in the Championship standings.

While the Sky Blues are currently on a four-game unbeaten streak, the visitors prevailed in their last game to ensure that they remained out of the relegation zone.

We say: Coventry City 2-1 Blackpool

All things considered, this should prove to be an entertaining game with Blackpool willing to push for all three points on the travels this season. Nevertheless, we feel that Coventry will be too strong on this occasion, potentially building an early lead which the Seaisders cannot claw back.

Huddersfield vs. Millwall (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Huddersfield Town manager Mark Fotheringham on October 9, 2022© Reuters

An in-form Millwall team will be looking to maintain their spot in the top six this weekend as they travel to the Championship's bottom side Huddersfield Town on Saturday afternoon.

Gary Rowett's men have won their last four games and look more likely than ever to earn a playoff berth, whereas Huddersfield are fighting at the other end of the table, having managed only three wins in their opening 15 this season under former head coach Danny Schofield and current boss Mark Fotheringham.

We say: Huddersfield Town 1-2 Millwall

Millwall come into this clash as favourites but their away record will give Huddersfield some confidence in getting a positive out of the game at the John Smith's Stadium.

Rowett's men seem to have plenty of options off the bench that can change the course of the game unlike Huddersfield who are short of first-team options, so we are expecting them to have the edge over the Terriers and increase the pressure on Fotheringham.

Hull City vs. Blackburn (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Hull City and Blackburn Rovers will both look to continue winning runs in the Championship on Saturday, when they do battle at the MKM Stadium.

The hosts have climbed to 16th spot in England's second tier with back-to-back three-point hauls, while three consecutive triumphs have seen their visitors move up to third place, only outside of the top two on goal difference.

We say: Hull City 1-3 Blackburn Rovers

While Hull have certainly improved recently, they are yet to establish any real consistency so far this season, and we see them falling short in their bid to make it three wins in a row when they welcome the league's third-placed side.

Blackburn have the ability to cause their hosts plenty of problems, and we back them to return to Lancashire with another victory to boost their chances of moving into the top two.

Luton vs. Sunderland (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Luton Town know a win could move them back into the playoff positions on Saturday as they face off against recently-promoted Sunderland at Kenilworth Road in the Championship.

A rampant Watford side ended Luton's eight-game unbeaten run in emphatic fashion last time out, whereas Sunderland squandered a two-goal lead and lost to table-topping Burnley at the Stadium of Light in their last fixture.

We say: Luton Town 2-2 Sunderland

Luton will be desperate to bounce back after a heavy loss at Watford that ended an impressive eight-game unbeaten run in the Championship when Sunderland visit on Saturday afternoon.

Both sides have attacking talent to trouble defences and both have been letting in plenty of goals of late, so we are anticipating an exciting encounter at Kenilworth Road.

Norwich vs. Stoke (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Stoke City manager Alex Neil on October 8, 2022© Reuters

Norwich City play host to Stoke City on Saturday afternoon looking to end a run of six matches without success in the Championship.

Nevertheless, the Canaries still remain in seventh spot in the standings, and welcome a Stoke side managed by former boss Alex Neil that are on a two-game losing streak.

We say: Norwich City 1-1 Stoke City

Stoke's inconsistency means that you struggle to predict their every move, and the same applies here as they make the long trip to East Anglia. However, they rarely lose three on the bounce, and we feel that they will do enough to earn a share of the spoils against opponents with a manager under increasing pressure.

Preston vs. Middlesbrough (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Manchester United interim manager Michael Carrick on November 28, 2021© Reuters

Michael Carrick begins his reign as Middlesbrough head coach with a Championship fixture against Preston North End at Deepdale.

At a time when Boro sit in 21st position in the standings, Preston have dropped down to 12th spot after a poor run of form in the second tier.

We say: Preston North End 1-1 Middlesbrough

A game between a team with one of the worst home records in the division against a club with one of the worst away records could throw up any result. Nevertheless, with neither side having impressed in front of goal this campaign, we can only predict a low-scoring stalemate.

Wigan vs. Watford (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Watford travel to Wigan Athletic in the Championship on Saturday afternoon in search of back-to-back wins for remarkably the first time this season.

A formidable performance at home to Luton Town last time out produced a 4-0 success for the Hornets, whilst Leam Richardson's Wigan lost narrowly away from home against Queens Park Rangers, a defeat that sees the Latics' poor run of form continue in their first season back in the second tier.

We say: Wigan Athletic 1-3 Watford

Watford have been inconsistent so far this season but have the ability to blow any side in the Championship away if they are on form.

Wigan need to address a worrying home record if they are to avoid a relegation scrap on their return to the second tier, but the visit of Bilic's dangerous Hornets is not the best place to start an upturn in results at the DW Stadium.
