Junior Stanislas returns to the Bournemouth starting lineup for their Premier League clash with Sunderland at the Vitality Stadium.

Junior Stanislas has overcome a calf injury to start for Bournemouth in their Premier League clash with Sunderland at the Vitality Stadium this afternoon.

Stanislas has not featured since registering two goals and an assist during the 6-1 drubbing of Hull City last month, but he returns to the starting lineup today in one of two changes made by manager Eddie Howe.

The Cherries also bring Dan Gosling into the heart of the midfield, with Andrew Surman missing out due to a hamstring injury.

Jack Wilshere, who has completed back-to-back 90-minute appearances in the Premier League for the first time in more than two-and-a-half years, retains his place once again alongside the likes of Jordon Ibe and Joshua King, who will lead the line.

Sunderland, meanwhile, make three changes to the side that was beaten by Arsenal last time out, with captain John O'Shea one of the players to miss out having picked up a hamstring problem.

Papy Djilobodji replaces O'Shea in defence, while Paddy McNair and Victor Anichebe also come into the starting XI in place of Jack Rodwell - still without a league win when starting a game for Sunderland - and Wahbi Khazri.

Jermain Defoe, scorer of Sunderland's only goal in their last four outings, captains the side against his former club as the Black Cats go in search of their first win of the campaign having made the joint worst start to a Premier League season ever.

Sunderland: Pickford; Jones, Djilobodji, Kone, van Aanholt; Pienaar, McNair, Ndong, Watmore, Anichebe; Defoe
