Manager Eddie Howe calls for a strong end to the season from his Bournemouth squad as he targets another top-10 finish in the Premier League table.

Manager Eddie Howe has said that his Bournemouth squad are motivated to achieve another top-10 finish in the Premier League.

Bournemouth are all but assured their place in the top flight for another 12 months, with the Cherries sitting 10 points clear of the relegation zone.

However, ahead of Wednesday's clash with Manchester United, Howe has revealed that he is focused on trying to at least achieve the eight points required to match their total of 46 from the last campaign.

At a press conference, the 40-year-old told reporters: "We've been hard to beat, we've got a lot of draws within the recent sequences. Our form since Christmas has been really good but there's a frustration that we haven't really kicked on and found the fluency in the performances we've created.

"We've got four games to do that, starting against Manchester United. We are in exactly the same position as were this time last year, we finished really strongly last season so the challenge is there for us to do that again.

"It is a motivation, it is something that we want to do, we've improved our league every year as we've gone on. Our target at the start of the season was to do that again so these are important games for us."

Bournemouth head into the game having won just one of their last eight fixtures in the Premier League.
