Both Barnsley and Swindon Town have names present on the shortlists for February's League One Manager and Player of the Month awards.

Barnsley have been recognised in both the Manager and Player of the Month awards in League One for February.

The Tykes lost manager Lee Johnson to Bristol City at the start of the month, but Paul Heckingbottom took over and helped the side to 10 points from five matches, while defender Alfie Mawson led the backline to concede only three goals and scored a free kick of his own.

Swindon Town are also present in both shortlists, with manager Luke Williams among the nominees and striker Nicky Ajose a contender for the player's award having netted six goals in four games last month.

Wigan Athletic's Gary Caldwell and John Sheridan of Oldham Athletic will battle Heckingbottom and Williams for the manager's award.

The other two players in contention for the monthly prize are Bradford City frontman James Hanson and Millwall goalkeeper Jordan Archer.

The winners will be announced on Friday morning.
