Barcelona team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Real Valladolid

Sports Mole rounds up all of Barcelona's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their La Liga clash with Real Valladolid on Monday.

Barcelona return to La Liga action on Monday when they welcome Real Valladolid to Camp Nou after the international break.

Ronald Koeman's side produced one of their best performances of the season to thrash Real Sociedad 6-1 before their stars linked up with their respective national teams, as Sergino Dest and Lionel Messi bagged braces while Antoine Griezmann and Ousmane Dembele also got in on the act.

The second-placed Blaugrana are firmly in contention for the title and now find themselves just four points behind faltering leaders Atletico Madrid, but Real Madrid are only two points adrift and hot on their trail.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Barcelona's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.

Sergi Roberto

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: April 5 (vs. Real Valladolid)

Sergi Roberto has been plagued with injuries all season and played no part in the thumping of Sociedad due to a muscular issue. However, the versatile Spaniard is back in training and should be available for selection here.

Ansu Fati

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Teenage starlet Ansu Fati continues to recuperate from the serious knee injury he sustained in November, and recent reports have indicated that he may need to undergo surgery for the third time, so he will not be back any time soon.

Philippe Coutinho

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Philippe Coutinho is yet to feature in 2021 after suffering a knee injury against Eibar in December, and Barca have confirmed that he will return to his native Brazil to receive treatment, so the attacker will remain sidelined for a little while longer.

Gerard Pique

Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: April 5 (vs. Valladolid)

Gerard Pique had only just made his return to action before damaging his knee against Sevilla in the Copa del Rey, and while the defender has been pictured with the ball at his feet in training, Barcelona are expected to save him for El Clasico.

Neto
