Mesut Ozil's relationship with Arsenal has reportedly reached 'breaking point', potentially leading to a summer exit.

Mesut Ozil's relationship with Arsenal has reportedly reached 'breaking point' with the attacker making himself unavailable for Saturday's Premier League clash with Huddersfield Town through illness.

The German only signed a new £350,000-a-week contract with the Gunners last year and his deal at the Emirates Stadium will run until the end of the 2020-21 campaign.

Ozil seemingly does not fit into head coach Unai Emery's style of football, though, having made just 18 appearances in all competitions during the 2018-19 campaign.

According to The Mirror, Ozil reported sick for Arsenal's 2-1 win over Huddersfield on Saturday, meaning that he has now missed as many as games as he has played this season.

The report has claimed that Ozil's relationship with the club has been severely damaged this season, which is expected to see the attacker, who has captained the team on occasions under Emery, depart in this summer's transfer window.

The 30-year-old has scored 41 times and registered 73 assists in 214 appearances for Arsenal since joining the London club from Real Madrid in 2013.
