The Oklahoma Thunder player surpassed the record set by Wilt Chamberlain.

Russell Westbrook set an NBA record with his 10th straight triple-double as the Oklahoma City Thunder routed the Portland Trail Blazers 120-111.

The Thunder star recorded 21 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists to break a tie with Wilt Chamberlain for most consecutive triple-doubles.

Paul George also scored a triple-double for Oklahoma with 47 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists.

There was less success for the New York Knicks, who sank to a franchise-record 17th straight loss against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Despite rallying from a 17-point deficit and getting to within a single point of the Cavs with less than a minute to play, the Knicks fell 107-104 at Quicken Loans Arena.

Collin Sexton, who led the Cavs with 20 points, sealed the victory with a pair of free throws with 17 seconds remaining in regulation.

The Knicks' losing streak is their longest in a single season in the club's history and they remain bottom of the NBA on 10 wins and 46 losses.

James Harden had 31 points to help lift the Houston Rockets over the Dallas Mavericks 120-104.

The score meant Harden extended his 30-point streak to 30 games, coming to within one game of tying for the second-longest streak in NBA history.

Meanwhile, Kawhi Leonard scored the game-winning basket with 4.2 seconds left as the Toronto Raptors defeated the Brooklyn Nets 127-125.

Giannis Antetokounmpo had his 39th double-double of the season to help lead the Milwaukee Bucks to a 112-99 victory over the Chicago Bulls.

And the Minnesota Timberwolves claimed a 130-120 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers, leading by as many as 23 points during the game.

Elsewhere, the Detroit Pistons took a fourth win in a row, beating the Washington Wizards 121-112, the Denver Nuggets ended a three-game losing streak by defeating the Miami Heat 103-87 and the Indiana Pacers survived a late charge by the Charlotte Hornets to win 99-90.
