Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny talks up the importance of his side's first win of the season - a 3-1 victory over Watford at Vicarage Road.

Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny has admitted that it was "very important" for his side to beat Watford and pick up their first win of the new season this afternoon.

The Gunners had managed just one point from their opening two games, but finally got their campaign up and running with a 3-1 victory over the Hornets at Vicarage Road.

All of Arsenal's goals came in a dominant first-half performance, and Koscielny talked up the importance of going into the international break on the back of a win.

"It was very important to win today. We showed a great game last week and today needed to finish before the international break with a win and we did it," he told reporters.

"The first half was good. we scored three and played well with the ball and defended well. The second more difficult but we have the three points."

Arsenal have now won all seven of their Premier League meetings with Watford.
