Great Britain's Tonia Couch and Lois Toulson have finished in fifth position in the synchronised 10m platform.

Couch and Toulson had hoped to make a bid for a medal, and ahead of the final dive they were in contention for bronze along with Canada.

However, their last attempt scored 17 points fewer than their nearest rivals and they eventually finished in fifth after also being edged out by North Korea.

The Chinese pairing of Chen Ruolin and Liu Huixia won gold after ending the competition 10 points ahead of Malaysia.
