Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez has defended his world super-middleweight titles with a points victory over Jermell Charlo.
On the back of looking below his best against John Ryder earlier this year, the legendary Mexican had a point to prove in Las Vegas.
Charlo was stepping up two weight divisions to take on the challenge of Canelo, and the weight difference showed as the American failed to make a dent in his opponent.
A lot of the rounds were similar - Canelo being the aggressor - which led to a knockdown in the seventh, with Canelo following a hook with an upper-cut that forced Charlo to take a knee.
While Charlo never looked like being stopped, the end result was inevitable at the final bell, with Canelo receiving a 119-108, 118-109 and 118-109 verdict from the judges.

After the fight, the 33-year-old said: "I worked all the fight to go in the body. Then I changed the punch and that's what happened. We worked for that.
"We know he's a great fighter. He knows how to move in the ring and we worked that in the gym for three months. Three months in the mountains without my family, without everything.
"But I still love boxing. Boxing made me the person I am today. Boxing is my life."
Canelo may again now target a rematch with light-heavyweight world champion Dmitry Bivol, who beat him last year, but a showdown with unbeaten David Benavidez remains a possibility at 168lbs.
