England forward Maro Itoje is a doubt for the Autumn Internationals after injuring his right hand in Saracens' Champions Cup win over Scarlets.

England have been left sweating over the availability of Saracens second-row Maro Itoje, who sustained a hand injury playing against Scarlets on Saturday evening.

The 21-year-old was replaced in the 46th minute of the Champions Cup tie after his right arm was trapped awkwardly while making a tackle.

Saracens said on Sunday that there would be no update on Itoje's condition until Monday, when results of an X-ray on the damaged hand come through.

England head coach Eddie Jones is already missing four forwards through injury ahead of the nation's Autumn Internationals.

Open-side flanker James Haskell will miss all four Tests because of a toe injury, while the Wasps player's possible replacements - Sam Jones, Mike Williams and Jack Clifford - are also sidelined.
