Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho's house was allegedly burgled on Tuesday morning.

Spanish outlet Sport claims that Coutinho, who was at a restaurant with family members on Monday evening, returned to his home in the early hours to find that thieves had entered his property.

The source adds that the Brazilian contacted the police upon entering the property, which was reportedly made easier to burgle due to ongoing construction work.

The 25-year-old has not travelled with his Barcelona teammates for the Champions League tie with Chelsea due to his participation in the group stages with Liverpool.

Coutinho has made seven appearances for his current employers so far since moving from Merseyside for a reported £142m in January.
