Ipswich Town edged out Wigan Athletic 2-1 at the DW Stadium this evening to record their first away win of the Championship season.
Luke Hyam fired the visitors ahead on 19 minutes, and the Tractor Boys built on their advantage through Conor Sammon's tap-in shortly after the hour mark.
Wigan managed to pull a goal back late on courtesy of Martyn Waghorn, yet despite coming close to conceding a second through Oriol Riera two minutes from time, Ipswich stood firm to secure their third-successive victory.
