Heading into their final Copa America group stage game against Peru, Venezuela remain without a long list of players after a coronavirus outbreak in the camp at the beginning of the tournament.

The list of absentees includes talismanic forward Josef Martinez, who may have been the key player for his side, having hit 74 goals in 88 appearances for Atlanta United.

In his absence, Fernando Aristeguieta has led the line to limited success, having failed to register a goal or assist so far at the tournament.

Further back, La Vinotinto are without midfielders Jefferson Savarino and Romulu Otero due to positive coronavirus tests, with Jose Martinez, Junior Moreno, Edson Castillo and Cristian Casseres expected to line up as a midfield four.

Their defence has also taken a hit with Mikel Villanueva and Roberto Rosales ruled out following the outbreak.

In order to compensate for the weakened squad, Jose Peseiro has attempted to shore up his side's defence, and he will continue to line up with a back five on Sunday.

That will see Alexander Gonzalez and Yohan Cumana line up alongside the centre-back trio of Adrian Martinez, Jose Velazquez and Luis Mago, although Francisco La Mantia may claim a place after several impressive performances at the back.

Goalkeeper Wuilker Farinez has arguably been the key man with Venezuela often under pressure, as the stopper has kept them in games with some vital saves.

Venezuela possible starting lineup: Farinez; Gonzalez, Mago, A Martinez, Velazquez, Cumana; J Martinez, Moreno, Castillo, Casseres; Aristeguieta
