Former Leicester City, Preston North End and Tranmere Rovers striker Iain Hume is reportedly on the verge of sealing a return to Indian Super League side Kerala Blasters.

Canada striker Iain Hume has reportedly agreed a return to Indian Super League club Kerala Blasters.

The 33-year-old played for Kerala in the inaugural ISL, helping the Cochin-based outfit, at the time managed by former England goalkeeper David James, to reach the final of the competition.

Hume then returned to England for a spell with first club Tranmere Rovers in 2015, before enjoying a fruitful two-season stint with reigning ISL champions Atletico Kolkata.

The former Leicester City forward subsequently moved to Spain for spells with Ponferradina and Extremadura, but according to Sky Sports News, he will return to Kerala for the 2017-18 ISL season.

Hume has scored 23 goals in the ISL, making him the league's all-time top scorer.
