Alfie Mawson is expected to remain at Swansea City this summer as the club have reportedly not received any offers and do not expect him to ask to leave.

Swansea City have reportedly yet to receive a formal offer for defender Alfie Mawson and expect him to stay at the club beyond the end of the summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old impressed in his maiden campaign at Premier League level last time out, featuring 27 times in the top flight upon joining from Barnsley in August.

Mawson further enhanced his reputation at the European Under-21 Championship finals in Poland earlier this summer, where he skippered England to the semi-final stage of the competition.

Tottenham Hotspur were recently linked with the centre-back, but Wales Online reports that no bids have been tabled so far this window.

Mawson, tipped as a future captain of the England senior side, also declared in June that he has no real desire to depart the Liberty Stadium.
